Igala Wikipedia Community Campus Engagement Campaign
Is an initiative aimed at expanding the Igala Wikipedia by engaging students in higher institutions across Kogi State. This outreach program will focus on teaching Igala-speaking students how to contribute to Igala Wikipedia, thereby preserving and promoting their language and culture online.
Target Institution
[nwọ́che | nwó étéwn che]The campaign will be carried out in three key institutions in Kogi State:
- Prince Abubakar Audu University, Formerly known as Kogi State University Anyigba
- Kogi State Polytechnic
- Idah Polytechnic
Objective
[nwọ́che | nwó étéwn che]Raise awareness about the importance of Igala Wikipedia. Recruit new editors from the student community. Train students on how to edit and contribute content to Igala Wikipedia. Strengthen the Igala Wikimedia Community by building a network of active contributors.
Activities

- Training workshops: Hands-on editing sessions to equip students with Wikipedia editing skills.
- Community building: Encouraging long-term participation by creating a support network of Igala editors.
